Responsibilities of the warehouse team leader
The Warehouse Team Leader ensures that all activities run smoothly and according to the highest standards and needs.
Team Management. He should supervise and direct the work of the facility and assign duties (warehouse activities, order preparation, cleaning, etc.). His task is also to evaluate the performance and efficiency of each employee.
Scheduling cargo receipts and releases. The Warehouse Team Manager should plan the various stages of the activities performed and oversee their implementation. He is also the one who makes decisions in case of unexpected events.
Inspection of equipments. Monitoring of accumulated cargo. It is known that the guiding principle of logistics is to ensure the constant availability of cargo whenever it is needed. Lack of inventory in the warehouse causes a number of negative consequences for the entire business (delays in order processing, customer dissatisfaction, etc.), so you should try to avoid them at all costs.
Space optimization. Lack of space is one of the biggest challenges at the stage of warehouse management. Therefore, one of the tasks of a warehouse manager is to plan the space (create a warehouse layout) in a way that ensures the most efficient work.
Logistics strategy planning. Its purpose is to ensure the proper functioning of all activities carried out in the warehouse.
