Business Development Representative [Netherlands]

The Role

Working closely with established Account Managers, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is tasked with identifying opportunities for growing JoVE’s community of subscribers. SDRs are front and center in our sales process and will engage with potential subscribers at all stages of the sale from prospecting up through close.

This role requires strategic thinking and constant on the job learning. Two way communication and partnership with Account Manager’s is a prerequisite for success and the right candidate will have shown themselves as someone who can hold their own.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews target institutions with Account Manager and produces snapshot summaries that guide our sales process from the prospecting stage through close.
  • Identifies stakeholders and influencers among faculty and staff at target institutions.
  • Presents relevant JoVE content to stakeholders via cold-call and preset meetings
  • Solicits and collects testimonials/recommendations
  • Facilitates integration of trial content into stakeholder courses
  • Follows integrated courses over the length of trial
  • Hosts webinar and demos at target institutions
  • Liaises with Customer Success and Subject Matter Experts to address customer needs
  • Collaborates with marketing studio on custom marketing pieces
  • Handles inbound lead traffic as necessary

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Sales
  • Full professional proficiency in Dutch language
  • Competitive, self driven, resilient
  • A passion for or background in the sciences
  • Comfortable with Scientific jargon or learning that jargon in the position
  • Analytical, able to digest and draw conclusions from both quantitative and qualitative data on potential customers
  • Excellent presentation skills, particularly over Zoom or other video meeting software
  • Engaging written and spoken communication skills
  • Collaborate effectively with account managers
  • Comfort with business software such as; Salesforce, SalesLoft, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Slides, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €35,000.00 - €40,000.00 per year

Work Location: Remote
